The 8400-500R part of the Veritron VRN is a variable speed inverter drive designed to be installed in a variety of applications involving speed and torque control. This product is capable of both AC to DC and DC to AC conversion and is capable of providing outputs up to 5 hp and current up to 16A in two-phase motor control. The 8400-500R is equipped with an LCD display for diagnostic purposes, LED indicators to provide status updates, and a remote keypad for programming and diagnostics. The 8400-500R has preprogrammable functions for motor protection and a variety of protection features such as field weakening, frequency autotuning, current limit, and V/f control. The product also has a high starting torque and dynamic acceleration/deceleration and is designed to be used in a wide range of applications including conveyors, pumps, fans, and other industrial machines.
