The Winchester Model 96 is a lever action rifle manufactured by Winchester Repeating Arms in the United States from 1895 to 1931. In 1995, Winchester began to produce a limited run of the Model 96, produced from March 9th to April 28th of that year. These rifles were based on the 1927 production run, featuring the large loop lever, crescent buttplate, and 24" octagon barrel. This limited production run received a letter of authenticity and were available in 32-40 WCF, 38-55 WCF, and 40-60 WCF, using a 26 inch octagon barrel.
