XA-SK-SDRAM XMOS

The XA-SK-SDRAM (XDMAEXT SDRAM) is a specialized SDRAM controller self-contained on XMOS' XS1-U8 processor platform. The XDMAEXT SDRAM is designed to provide a low latency, high bandwidth solution for SDRAM access and low-level host/ device specific peripheral I/O. The XA-SK-SDRAM supports up to 8 banks of SDRAM (1Gbit each) with full 64-bit access and two independent DMA channels. It also provides for host-controlled remapping of the SDRAM banks for optimized performance and low power operation. The XA-SK-SDRAM contains an additional 64-bit wide external memory controller designed to perform high-speed memory transactions in addition to existing host peripherals. This access provided by the XA-SK-SDRAM allows for very fast and low latency access to data stored in SDRAM as well as other memory-mapped peripherals. It is compatible with XMOS XS1-U8 processor cores, supporting high speed DMA operations with minimal latency and low power operation.
