Additional Infomation About Product

The Yageo 2RP800M-8 with Discharge Tubes (GDT/TSS) RoHS is an AC three-phase overvoltage protection device designed to detect and protect against electrical overvoltage events. The Discharge Tube (GDT/TSS) features two components; a gas-filled tube and a spark gap, connected in series within the overvoltage protection circuit. The spark gap is designed to provide an adequate breakdown voltage and limit current during overvoltage events. The gas-filled tube provides a low internal impedance over temperature, while dissipating the remaining surge energy safely. The gas-filled tube also dampens the arc, while maintaining circuit continuity even after the spark gap has been eroded by the high voltage. The 2RP800M-8 is RoHS compliant and is suitable for use in industrial, commercial, and residential applications.
