The 821KD20-P10 with Varistors 560V 680 (612~748) 1120V 6.5KA Through Hole RoHS manufactured by Yageo is a type of varistor suitable for use in mains voltage applications. It is designed with two ceramic discs filled with zinc oxide material and connected by metal electrodes. The discs are designed to trigger an internal protective circuit when the voltage reaches a certain level. The 821KD20-P10 has a nominal voltage of 560 volts, a maximum clamping at 680 volts and a maximum energy rating of 6.5 kiloamps. It is rated for 1120 volts and has a through-hole RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive) compliant less.
