The BK22001002 with Gas Discharge Tubes (GDTs) Axial RoHS manufactured by Yageo is an overvoltage protection component that provides highly reliable protection for vulnerable electronics and circuitry. This device consists of a metal-oxide surge arrester (MOSA) with an axial package and two axial-lead Gas Discharge Tubes (GDTs) in series. The MOSA absorbs any potential exceeding its rating and the GDTs reduce the voltage until it is below the avalanche breakdown point of the MOSA. When this occurs, the current is re-routed from its normal course and the device trips, diverting current away from the electronic components. The BK22001002 is RoHS compliant and has a rated breakdown voltage of 2kV. This product provides excellent surge immunity and is ideal for applications where overvoltage protection is necessary.
