The SA78A is a transient voltage suppression device (TVS) with a DO-15 package, manufactured by Yageo. It has three operational voltage levels: 126V, 86.7V, and 78V. This component meets the requirements of the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive 2002/95/EC, and is intended to be used in circuits with a line-to-line operating voltage of up to 400V. It provides ESD, EFT, and lightning surge protection for motors, communication systems, medical equipment, automotive systems, and other power electronics or industrial control applications.
