About Acceleration Sensor Modules
Acceleration Sensor Modules
Acceleration sensor modules are small, typically self-contained devices that measure the linear and/or angular acceleration of a moving object, for example, within a vehicle or robot. They output a signal that can be read by other electronics, and can be used to determine the direction and intensity of accelerations being experienced. Typically, the signal is either analog or digital, depending on the model. Common applications for acceleration sensor modules include navigation systems, robotics and inertial navigation systems, where the direction and speed of the device must be known.
