About Display Interface IC
Display Interface IC
Display Interface ICs are semiconductor devices that are designed to interface between integrated devices such as LCDs and touchscreens, and the data and control signals of digital devices that drive them. Display Interface ICs can translate the digital signals into connected LCD or touchscreens as well as provides interfaces, such as parallel, serial, or LVDS, based on the requirements of the silicon processor or microcontroller. They can also reduce or increase the number of data signals, based on the type of LCD and the display interface requirements. Display Interface ICs also offer power management for LCDs and touchscreens, which helps to reduce power consumption. Additionally, Display Interface ICs are typically used to handle data conversion, color conversion, synchronization and LVDS signal multiplexing.
