About Power Management ICs
Power Management ICs
Power Management ICs (Integrated Circuits) are a class of semiconductor devices designed to manage the delivery, conversion, regulation, and control of electrical power to process signals, logic devices, and digital systems. They regulate the amount of power and voltage supplied to a device, and can also provide power-saving features such as frequency scaling, dynamic voltage scaling, and Power-down modes. By managing the power and voltage, PMICs can control how and when a device functions, as well as how much energy is used. PMICs also keep track of battery charge, battery life, and other power-related metrics. PMICs can be found in a variety of consumer electronics, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, wearables, and other gadgets.
