The MEMS-accelerometer applications also include vehicle control systems, platform leveling, earthquake protection systems, intrusion detection, construction equipment monitoring, and structure modal studies. In addition, it offers MEMS foundry services. Further, the company offers micro-mirror technologies for beam positioning, VOA, tunable laser, optical switching/multiplexing, and HDTV/display applications. Colibrys, Inc. was formerly known as Applied MEMS, Inc. and changed the name to Colibrys, Inc. in 2005 as a result of the acquisition by Colibrys S.A. The company was founded in 1997 and is based in Grand Prairie, Texas
