Fairchild Semiconductor International, Inc., through its subsidiary, Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation, designs, develops, manufactures, and markets power analog, power discrete, and non-power semiconductor solutions worldwide. It operates through three segments: Switching Power Solutions (SPS), Analog Power and Signal Solutions (APSS), and Standard Products Group (SPG). The SPS segment offers analog and mixed signal integrated circuits (ICs), and multi-chip smart power modules, as well as discrete power products, such as diodes and transistors; power MOSFET; and STEALTH, which provides power conversion and conditioning service. This segment provides its products under the SupreMOS, SuperFET, PowerTrench, UniFET, SPM, PowerTrench, and QFET brands. The APSS segment offers analog and mixed signal ICs, which are used to control discrete semiconductors; signal path products, such as analog and digital switches, USB switches, video filters, and audio amplifiers; and DC-DC ICs, MOSFET and IGBT gate driver ICs, and power factor correction ICs to the consumer, computing, display, TV, lighting, and industrial markets. The SPG segment provides a range of semiconductor products, such as MOSFET, junction field effect transistors, high power bipolar, discrete small signal transistors, Zener diodes, rectifiers, bridge rectifiers, Schottky devices, and diodes; bipolar regulators, shunt regulators, low drop out regulators, standard op-amp/comparators, low voltage op-amps, and others; and infrared products. The company’s products are used in mobile, industrial, appliance, automotive, consumer electronics, and computing market applications. Fairchild Semiconductor International, Inc. sells its products to distributors, original equipment manufacturers, and electronic design and manufacturing service customers. The company was founded in 1959 and is based in Sunnyvale, California. As of September 16, 2016, Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc. operates as a subsidiary of ON Semiconductor Corp.
