VIGO Photonics is a European manufacturer specializing in epitaxial wafers and instruments for photonics and microelectronics. They focus on MWIR (Mid-Wavelength Infrared) and LWIR (Long-Wavelength Infrared) detectors and modules, which are produced using their internally-developed technology.VIGO Photonics developed a special technique for manufacturing detectors that operate without cryocooling, allowing room-temperature and TE-cooled detectors with high sensitivity.In the 1980s, a team led by Professor Józef Piotrowski developed this technology at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland, and it was subsequently implemented by VIGO Photonics
