899.2
AEMC 899.2 is part of the American Electrician's Manual, an authoritative reference for electricians, electrical engineers, and other professionals working with electricity. AEMC 899.2 defines the requirements for Ground Fault Circuit Interruptors. Specifically, 2119.01 states that a GFCI should be installed in any location where an unsealed electrical system is likely to come in contact with water. This includes, but is not limited to, bathrooms, garages, kitchens, and laundry rooms. The standard also states that a GFCI should be installed upstream of any stationary or mobile convenience outlets.
