Phase Detector/Frequency Synthesizer Enhanced Product ADF4002-EP FEATURES GENERAL DESCRIPTION 400 MHz bandwidth The ADF4002-EP frequency synthesizer is used to implement 2.7 V to 3.3 V power supply local oscillators in the upconversion and downconversion sections Separate charge pump supply (V ) allows extended P of wireless receivers and transmitters. It consists of a low noise tuning voltage in 3 V systems digital phase frequency detector (PFD), a precision charge pump, Programmable charge pump currents a programmable reference divider, and a programmable N divider. 3-wire serial interface The 14-bit reference counter (R counter) allows selectable REF IN Analog and digital lock detect frequencies at the PFD input. A complete phase-locked loop (PLL) Hardware and software power-down mode can be implemented if the synthesizer is used with an external 104 MHz phase frequency detector loop filter and voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). In addition, by programming R and N to 1, the part can be used as a stand- ENHANCED PRODUCT FEATURES alone PFD and charge pump. Supports defense and aerospace applications Additional application and technical information can be found (AQEC standard) in the ADF4002 data sheet.
