MAX1082/MAX1083 300ksps/400ksps, Single-Supply, 4-Channel, Serial 10-Bit ADCs with Internal Reference General Description Features The MAX1082/MAX1083 10-bit analog-to-digital convert- 4-Channel Single-Ended or 2-Channel ers (ADCs) combine a 4-channel analog-input multiplexer, Pseudo-Differential Inputs high-bandwidth track/hold (T/H), and serial interface with Internal Multiplexer and Track/Hold high conversion speed and low power consumption. The Single-Supply Operation MAX1082 operates from a single +4.5V to +5.5V supply the MAX1083 operates from a single +2.7V to +3.6V sup- +4.5V to +5.5V (MAX1082) ply. Both devices analog inputs are software configurable +2.7V to +3.6V (MAX1083) for unipolar/bipolar and single-ended/pseudo-differential operation. Internal +2.5V Reference The 4-wire serial interface connects directly to SPI/QSPI 400kHz Sampling Rate (MAX1082) and MICROWIRE devices without external logic. A serial Low Power: 2.5mA (400ksps) strobe output allows direct connection to TMS320-family 1.3mA (REDP) digital signal processors. The MAX1082/ MAX1083 use an external serial-interface clock to perform successive- 0.9mA (FASTPD) approximation analog-to-digital conversions. The devices 2A (FULLPD) feature an internal +2.5V reference and a reference-buffer amplifier with a 1.5% voltage-adjustment range. An SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE/TMS320-Compatible 4-Wire external reference with a 1V to V range may also be DD Serial Interface used. Software-Configurable Unipolar or Bipolar Inputs The MAX1082/MAX1083 provide a hard-wired SHDN pin 16-Pin TSSOP Package and four software-selectable power modes (normal opera- tion, reduced power (REDP), fast power-down (FASTPD), Ordering Information and full power-down (FULLPD)).
