MAX4575/MAX4576/MAX4577 19-1762 Rev 0 7/00 15kV ESD-Protected, Low-Voltage, Dual, SPST, CMOS Analog Switches General Description Features The MAX4575/MAX4576/MAX4577 are low-voltage, ESD-Protected NO/NC Pins high electrostatic discharge (ESD)-protected, dual sin- 15kV (Human Body Model) gle-pole/single-throw (SPST) analog switches. The nor- 15kV (IEC 1000-4-2 Air-Gap Discharge) mally closed (NO) and normally open (NC) pins are 8kV (IEC 1000-4-2 Contact Discharge) protected against 15kV ESD without latchup or dam- Pin Compatible with MAX4541/MAX4542/MAX4543 age. Each switch can handle Rail-to-Rail analog sig- nals. Off-leakage current is 0.5nA at +25C. These Guaranteed On-Resistance analog switches are suitable for low-distortion audio 70 (max) at +5V applications and are the preferred solution over 150 (max) at +3V mechanical relays in automated test equipment or applications where current switching is required. They On-Resistance Flatness have low power requirements (0.5W), require less 2 (typ) at +5V board space, and are more reliable than mechanical 6 (typ) at +3V relays. Each device is controlled by TTL/CMOS input On-Resistance Matching voltage levels and is bilateral. 0.5 (typ) at +5V These switches feature guaranteed operation from a 0.6 (typ) at +3V single supply of +2V to +12V, making them ideal for use in battery-powered applications. On-resistance is Guaranteed 0.5nA Leakage Current at T = +25C A 70 (max), matched between switches to 0.5 (typ) +2V to +12V Single-Supply Voltage and flat (2 typ) over the specified signal range. TTL/CMOS-Logic Compatible The MAX4575 has two NO switches, the MAX4576 has two NC switches, and the MAX4577 has one NO and Low Distortion: 0.015% one NC switch. These devices are available in 8-pin -3dB Bandwidth >300MHz MAX and SO packages.
