ARDUINO MKR ENVIRONMENTAL SHIELD Arduino

The Arduino MKR ENV Shield Expansion Board is manufactured by Arduino and allows the MKR series of microcontrollers to integrate environmental sensing capabilities into the design. It features four independent sensing elements: HTS221, LPS22HB, TEMT6000, and VEML6075, each with its own connection to the microcontroller’s I2C and analog ports.The HTS221 is a temperature and relative humidity sensor, capable of sensing between -40 C and +85 C for temperature and between 0 to 100% for relative humidity with a resolution of 0.008 C for temperature and 0.3% for humidity.The LPS22HB is a pressure sensor designed to measure absolute pressure. It has a pressure range of 260-1260 hPa with 0.04 hPa resolution.The TEMT6000 is a light intensity sensor, capable of measuring ambient light levels from 0 to 100,000 lux. The VEML6075 is an ultraviolet-B light sensor, capable of detecting light intensities between 340nm and 420nm with a 0.25 W/m2 resolution. The board also features an I2C connection, allowing the sensors to be connected to multiple microcontrollers without the need of an extra board and the analog connection allows for direct input of the sensor data into the microcontroller.
