It is mainly used for connecting devices with RS-232 or RS-485 serial ports for programming and data exchange. It features a galvanically isolated port that provides protection from spikes, surges, and ground loops. The device has 8 Digital Inputs and 4 Digital Outputs that can be used to connect to PLCs and other automation or monitoring systems. It supports both Modbus and ASCII communication protocols.
