The HCPL-0721-000E is a single-channel logic gate optocoupler manufactured by Broadcom, Inc. It is a device used to allow a connection between two distinct circuits that have different logic levels, capacitances, and/or noise characteristics. The optocoupler includes an infrared LED light source which is coupled to a photodetector integrated circuit through a transparent package. This optocoupler offers high common mode transient immunity and fast propagation delay times, making it suitable for a variety of applications such as isolating high voltage signals, providing electrical isolation, and driving multiple logic levels. The HCPL-0721-000E can operate in either AC or DC mode, with a 6.0nA LED current and a TTL compatible output. The maximum collector-emitter voltage across the optocoupler is 60V, and the maximum current transfer ratio is 100%. The device is offered in a 6-pin DIP package.
