The HCPL-7800-000E with Optically Isolated Amplifiers 4.5 - 5.5 SV 8 dB manufactured by Broadcom is an optocoupler with an integrated power transistor (HVIC) and integrated optically isolated amplifier. The optocoupler contains an LED as a light emitter that is reverse biased to drive a photo transistor as a light detector. It is capable of operating from 4.5-5.5 SV with 8 dB power gain. The device also features high common mode transimpedance and low input bias current. It is designed for isolated I/O, signal/power isolation, and general purpose industrial communication applications. The device is also UL 1577 approved and is RoHS compliant.
