The CR5528 is a dual power management integrated circuit (PMIC) DIP-8 switch manufactured by Chip-Rail. This chip allows for multiple directions of current flow, allowing it to control, monitor, and protect circuits and components from surges and other voltage hazards. This RoHS compliant PMIC has two power distribution switches, each with two-terminal, three-terminal, and four-terminal control/protection options. This switch has a rated power dissipation of 5.3W and supports a wide operating temperature range from -55°C to +125°C. It provides overcurrent protection during normal and fault conditions, and a low stand-by current spike when switching from one power source to another.
