The CV-H15 part of COBIT is the Validation and Verification of Information System Controls. It is a comprehensive set of best practices used to evaluate the adequacy of an organization’s information system controls. It addresses various aspects of security, privacy and operations such as access, authentication, authorization, data integrity, privacy, safeguarding assets, risks, and incident response. The goal of CV-H15 is to reduce the risk of fraud and manipulation of financial, personal, and/or other sensitive information. Additionally, it provides guidance to organizations on how to ensure their information systems and processes are up to date with current technology and industry standards.
