The E1671 is a section of the Danube River from Tiszaújváros in Hungary to Esztergom in Slovakia. This section of river is around 28 kilometres (17 miles) in total and runs through the region known as “Dunakanyar” or the “Danube Bend”, where the river makes a sharp turn to the north. The Danube Bend is known as one of the most historically and culturally significant sections of the entire river. It is surrounded by picturesque villages, lush forests and vineyards, castles, and fortresses. The Danube Bend is also known for its wide variety of wildlife, such as European otters, kingfishers, and black-headed gulls. Additionally, the waters of the Danube in this section are highly suitable for recreational activities such as swimming, sailing, and fishing.
