The DG2R600L with Discharge Tubes (GDT/TSS) Axial,8x6mm RoHS is a high-voltage discharge tube manufactured by Dongchen. It is designed to protect sensitive circuits from overvoltages by providing a low impedance path to ground when triggered. The tube is composed of an epoxy shell filled with two electrodes and a gas mixture that contains argon and oxygen. When an electric field is applied to the electrodes, it ionizes the gas mixture, creating an arcing between the electrodes. This breaks down the electric field and passes the current to ground. The tube is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant, meaning it does not contain any hazardous substances in concentrations that exceed the RoHS Directive. It has an axial shape with dimensions of 8x6mm.
