The ESP-WROOM-02 (4MB) is a Wi-Fi module designed and manufactured by Espressif Systems. It is based on the ESP8266, a high-performance, low-power, versatile system-on-chip (SoC). The device includes an integrated Wi-Fi transceiver, a power amplifier, an integrated PCB antenna, and several external passive components. This module supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standards and offers a data rate of up to 150 Mbps. It is also capable of serving as both an access point and station. In addition, the ESP-WROOM-02 features 4 MB of integrated flash memory for storage of Wi-Fi configuration information and applications. Furthermore, it has an ultra-low power sleep and deep-sleep mode for energy efficiency, as well as a variety of digital interfaces and peripherals. As such, this module is well-suited for applications such as home automation, smart outlets, remote locations, home theaters, and more.
