The GD25Q16CSIGTR from Gigadevice is a 2 Mbit (256 KByte) Serial Flash memory device. It is based on the Company’s advanced Flash memory technology and is available in four space-saving 8-pin packages. This device is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as storage of code and data in embedded systems, consumer electronics, and industrial applications.
The GD25Q16CSIGTR offers a space-saving industry standard 8-pin WSON (6x8mm) package, as well as SOIC (150mil) and USON (8x6mm) packages. It operates over a broad supply voltage range (1.7V -3.6V), and supports both SPI and Dual/Quad SPI Bus interfaces to establish fast and reliable communication with the host system. The device also features the popular EASY-SD-Q Serial SPI command set, making it easy for designers to effortlessly transition from older or existing SPI Flash devices such as 2.5V/3V W25X-series to the Company’s new GD25Q series products. The device is available in commercial and industrial temperature ranges, and is also RoHS compliant.
The GD25Q16CSIGTR device is a low-power device, offering an active read current of 0.11µA (max.) and standby current of 0.55µA (max.). It features a low-power Deep Power-down mode (consuming less than 0.7µA) and supports 166MHz Fast Read through Dual/Quad SPI, with a maximum of 133MHz clock frequency in Quad mode. The device also supports 4-bytes address read out, extended address and reset commands, status register write protection, and various blocking algorithms, OTP write protection, blank check, sector/block erase, and program.
