Additional Infomation About Product

The MAX485ED is a RS-485/RS-422 integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by HTC Korea, and it is available in a surface-mount package with 8-pins (SOP-8). It is compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive that limits the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.This IC is designed to provide electrical and communications isolation between two devices over a differential data-transmission line using EIA/TIA-485 protocols. The MAX485ED features two independent transceivers, each having a two-pin differential transmit data input and a two-pin differential receive data output. The device also offers software or hardware control of direction selection, and differential signaling helps reduce common-mode noise and ground loops. It has a -7 to +12V wide operating voltage range, and its transmission speed can reach up to 16 Mbps. This IC is useful for both serial data transmission and remote control applications.
