The DSEP12-12A is a standard insulation grade, isolated, phase-control thyristor made by IXYS Corporation. It features a maximum blocking voltage of 12V, an on-state current rating of 12A, and a maximum surge current of 180A. The device has a forward gate triggering current of 20mA and a maximum forward gate voltage of 12V. It is designed for use in applications such as AC control, rectification, choppers, and speed control. The DSEP12-12A can also be used for temperature control, static switching, and power and overload protection.
