Additional Infomation About Product

OMA260 is a high voltage thyristor manufactured by IXYS Corporation. It is a 600V, 6A, TO-220 packaged thyristor with a surge current rating of 200A. This thyristor has a trigger gate voltage of 1.6V and it is an ideal choice for applications such as AC motor control, DC-DC switching, and overcurrent/overvoltage protection. The OMA260 features one-cycle soft-start capability, starting the conduction at a lower current than the specified 6A rating. It also provides temperature-mode control for achieving precise temperature protection. Additionally, this device contains a current limitation resistor in series with the gate allowing for a pre-determined safe operation current.
