The 4212AC51K is part of Laird Connectivity's Shieldbuddy series and is an industrial, panel-mount wireless gateway that provides a flexible solution for connecting industrial machines and assets to the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The device has a rugged, IP30-rated housing, a wide-temperature operating range, and a power input of 24Vdc. It comes with an integrated 802.11 a/b/g/n radio, a USB port and an RS232 port, and all of these are intended to facilitate custom application development. The gateway also supports multiple mobile radio technologies, like 4G/LTE and 4G/GPRS, for increased coverage and reliability. Lastly, the 4212AC51K offers either single- or dual-SIM options for redundancy.
