Marathon County is located in central Wisconsin, spanning over 1,577 square miles. It is comprised of 14 cities, 22 villages and 31 towns. The county seat is Wausau.
985-10 is part of the Town of Stettin, located northeast of the City of Wausau. This part of the county is mainly rural, with many small farms and dairies. The Stettin area is home to several recreational areas and the Kettle Moraine State Forest. Additionally, the Sunnyvale Wildlife Area, Merrill City Park, and Stettin Lake are all popular destinations for recreational activities such as fishing, hiking and camping.
