0151-2017 is part of McGill University's Arts & Science program. It is a three credit course called Sociological Foundations. The course is designed to introduce students to the foundations and concepts of sociology, in particular with respect to Canadian society. Students will become familiar with major concepts, theories, research methods, and social problems. In addition, the course will explore how the different social structures, features, and trends in different Canadian societies affect the lives of individuals. Finally, the course will develop students' critical thinking skills.
