- protégé program
The Mentor-Protégé Program is a business development program that provides government, corporate and non-profit organizations the opportunity to partner with a mentor to foster mutual learning, development, and support. It is designed to help the protégé organization become more competitive, expand their capabilities and establish working relationships with the mentor organization. The program also establishes mutually beneficial relationships that can provide value-added services for the protégé, market and product areas for the mentor, and commodities, services, and innovative ideas for both. Participants in the program commit to a specific period of time, in most cases up to three years, depending on the objectives of the protégé. Mentor-Protégé programs typically involve the designation of protégé projects, completion of goal setting and project planning, recruitment and selection of mentors, completion of contracting, and the delivery of mutually agreed upon products or services.
