The 24LC512-E/MF is an 8 kilobit Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) device, developed and manufactured by Microchip Technology. It features a memory size of 8k-bit (1,048,576 bits) organized as 65,536 words, each word containing 16 bits of data. The device operates via a two-wire I2C Serial Interface and provides an 8-bit device address range that allows up to eight 24LC512-E/MF devices on a single bus. The device offers access times of 200 ns, write times of 5 ms, and a data retention of more than one hundred years. Other features include 1 mA typical active current, 1 µA typical standby current, and a maximum clock rate of 400 kHz. It is available in an 8-pin PDIP or 8-pin SOIC package.
