The ATMEGA169A-AU is a low-power, 8-bit CMOS-AVR microcontroller. It is based on the enhanced RISC architecture of the AVR processor, and incorporates 32K bytes of flash memory and 512 bytes of EEPROM data memory. The on-chip features include an 8-bit timer/counter, an 8-channel 10-bit A/D converter, a USART, an SPI serial port, and an internal oscillator, which makes it ideally suited for a variety of applications, including instrumentation control, industrial automation, home or building automation, embedded networking, and portable/wearable/IoT applications. Additionally, this part also includes various safety features such as an internal clock that checks for temperature and voltage, as well as an instruction-counter watch to detect failure in the instruction fetch from flash memory.
