The ATTINY816-MNR 8-bit Microcontroller (MCU) is a small, low-power MCU manufactured by Microchip. The unit was designed as a low-cost, lower-power option for the popular 8-bit AVR family. This tiny 8-bit microcontroller has 8K bytes of Flash memory, 512 bytes of EEPROM, and 512 bytes of RAM. It also has up to 20 IO pins and a variety of features including 10-bit ADC, 8-channel DMA, JTAG support for programming and debugging, an 8-channel 10-bit timer/counter, and a serial UART with 2 USARTS and ISO7816 support for smartcard and IoT interfaces. It runs at up to 16MHz with power consumption as low as 0.48 mA/MHz. The device is specifically made for use in low-power, low-budget and wearable applications including sensor hubs, LED tracking, and low-cost systems.
