The MCP16502TAC-E/S8B with Power Management Specialised (PMS) PMIC High-Performance PMIC for SAMA5DX/SAM9X6 MPUs is a state-of-the-art power management integrated circuit (PMIC) designed by Microchip. The MCP16502 PMIC is a single-chip solution for supplying all the core and peripheral power requirements of the SAMA5DX/SAM9X6 family of embedded Microprocessors (MPUs). It provides several dedicated power rails for processor and digital IO domains, allowing additional design optimization and flexibility. It also provides two programmable voltage regulators with better power efficiency for dynamic processor core voltage scaling, enabling enhanced power savings. Moreover, it features high frequency operation capability that is capable of running up to 9MHz and supports various low power sleep modes including Stop and Backup modes. The PMIC additionally features an advanced multiple sequencer package that supports both main and standby power delivery systems, allowing for rapid power sequencing and improved performance. It is an 8-pin SOIC package that comes with over current protection, thermal shutdown, and Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO).
