MIC58P01 8-Bit Parallel-Input Protected Latched Driver Features General Description 4.4 MHz Minimum Data Input Rate The MIC58P01 parallel-input latched driver is a high-voltage (80V), high-current (500 mA) integrated High-Voltage, High-Current Outputs circuit comprised of eight CMOS data latches, a bipolar Per-Output Overcurrent Shutdown (500 mA Darlington transistor driver for each latch, and CMOS Typical) control circuitry for the common CLEAR, STROBE, and Undervoltage Lockout OUTPUT ENABLE functions. Similar to the MIC5801, Thermal Shutdown additional protection circuitry supplied on this device Output Transient Protection Diodes includes thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and overcurrent shutdown. CMOS, PMOS, NMOS, and TTL Compatible Inputs The bipolar/CMOS combination provides an extremely Internal Pull-Down Resistors low-power latch with maximum interface flexibility. The MIC58P01 has open-collector outputs capable of Low-Power CMOS Latches sinking 500 mA and integral diodes for inductive load Package Types transient suppression with a minimum output breakdown voltage rating of 80V (50V sustaining). The MIC58P01 drivers may be connected in parallel for higher load 28-Lead PLCC (V) current capability. (Top View) With a 5V logic supply, the MIC58P01 will typically operate at better than 5 MHz. With a 12V logic supply, significantly higher speeds are obtained. The CMOS inputs are compatible with standard CMOS, PMOS, 4 3 2 1 28 27 26 and NMOS circuits.
