The PIC18F26K83-I/SP is a high-performance, low-power, 8-bit microcontroller from Microchip Technology Inc. This 8-bit device incorporates many features found in 16-bit devices, such as flash program memory, ten channels of 10/12-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), Capture/Compare/PWM (CCP) modules, Enhanced Universal Synchronous Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (EUSART) module, and many peripheral functions. It is based on the enhanced mid-range core architecture with one instruction per two-cycle core speed, Flash program memory up to 64KB with four times read-while-write capabilities and up to 1024bytes of SRAM data memory. It also features a LCD driver module with up to 42 segment/digit lines and 64 LCD RAM locations. It is well-suited for various embedded applications including automotive and medical that require high-accuracy analog-to-digital conversion, advanced communication, security and higher endurance Flash programming.
