It is a versatile, low-power, low-voltage device used to bridge between the Universal Serial Bus (USB) and Low-pin Interface (ULPI) functional interfaces. This device is designed to support a Full-Speed (FS)/High-Speed (HS) USB data rate in both host and peripheral operating modes. The ULPI interface allows the USB3300-EZK-TR to operate with the chip platform having special interface requirements, such as Atmel’s SAM ARM and AVR32 devices, and allows for operation with fewer GPIO pins and IOs operating at lower voltages. With the integrated ULPI interface, the USB3300-EZK-TR requires only a single 3.3V power supply and provides a cost-effective USB solution for embedded applications.
