6DOF IMU 2 Click is a mikroBUS add-on board with Bosch BMI160 motion MEMS. It carries a 6-axis integrated accelerometer and gyroscope that provides different motion and orientation related data, three-dimensional acceleration, velocity and angular rate. The board contains two columns of eight pins each and an indicator LED to confirm that the board has power. The BMI160 motion MEMS supports dynamic user motion recognitions such as walking, running, and more. It also offers AI-driven motion recognition based on real-time activities and system-level power management. Its precision is 0.16°/s for gyroscope, 0.06 %FS (Full-scale) for acceleration and 0.015 for temperature. It offers an extended operating temperature range from -40 to +85 °C and has a very low power mode that can track static orientation and motion in 10 µA. It also supports multiple advanced features like compensation for linear acceleration, reduced-motion artifacts and improved accuracy at dynamic conditions. The on-chip sensor fusion algorithm combines the data from the accelerometer and gyroscope to provide an absolute orientation in three dimensions. The 6DOF IMU 2 Click can be used for a variety of applications such as monitoring human movement and gesture, robotics, automotive systems and system health monitoring, gaming, and many more.
