TM MP1519 1x, 1.5x, 2x High Efficiency Charge Pump 4 White LED Driver TM The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP1519 is a fully automatic driver for 2% LED Current Matching powering four white LEDs, with up to 4V High Efficiency (>93%) forward voltage, from a single Li-Ion or three Current Source Outputs NiMH cells. The driver performs all of the No Ballast Resistors Required sensing and control to run the LEDs at an 1x, 1.5x and 2x Automatic Modes optimum charge pump ratio for efficiency Constant Frequency Operation without an expensive inductor. The driver Automatic LED Detection allows PWM operation to support brightness High and Low Frequency PWM Capability control. 2.5V to 5.5V Operation The tiny 3mm x 3mm QFN16 package and Less than 1A Leakage during Shutdown small external capacitors allow for the most Detects Changes in Battery Level compact white LED solution available. No External Schottky Diode Required Soft-Start and Soft Switching Operation EVALUATION BOARD REFERENCE Board Number Dimensions APPLICATIONS EV0042 2.4X x 1.9Y x 0.4Z Cell Phones PDA or Hand Held Computers White LED Application at 3.6V Supply MPS and The Future of Analog IC Technology are Trademarks of Monolithic Power Systems, Inc.
