MP2605 28V, 1A Li-Ion/Li-Polymer Battery Charger with Trickle Charge and Timer The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP2605 is a linear, high-performance Proprietary V Surge Protection up to 28V IN single cell Li-Ion/Li-Polymer battery charger. By Programmable Charge Current : integrating high voltage input protection into the 200mA to 1.0A charger IC, the MP2605 can tolerate an input Trickle Charge surge up to +28V. 40A Shutdown Current 7V Input OVP The device features constant current (CC) and Auto Recharge constant voltage (CV) charging modes with Charge-Timer programmable charge currents (200mA to 1A), current blocking, and trickle charge. The device Fault and Charge Status Indicators also provides fault and charge status APPLICATIONS indications to the system. Cell Phones For guaranteed safe operation, the MP2605 Digital Cameras reduces charge current when the device Smart Phones reaches high temperature (due to limited PCB PDAs space). Other safety features include battery MP3 Players temperature monitoring and programmable timer to complete the charging cycle. MPS and The Future of Analog IC Technology are Registered Trademarks of Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. The MP2605 is available in 10-pin 3mm x 3mm QFN packages.
