The NT1724A-FKAA6 is a Battery Protection IC manufactured by NEOTEC, designed for system protection and management of single-cell Li-ion batteries. It is housed in a SOT23-6 surface-mount package and is compliant with the European Union “Restriction of Hazardous Substances” (RoHS) directive of 2002. The device helps protect Li-ion batteries from damage due to over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, and short-circuit conditions. It features a temperature protection circuit (TPC) with open-drain output for additional protection. It is designed with multiple current-limit choices, adjustable pre-charge current, adjustable soft-charge current, adjustable soft-discharge current, programmable charge-current-limit delay, battery current temperature monitoring, and LED driver output. The device also includes over-voltage protection and reverse-battery protection.
