The 74HC173D652 is a 4-bit Synchronous Binary Counter by Nexperia (formerly NXP Semiconductors). It is a high-speed Si-gate CMOS device designed for buffering, demultiplexing and storage of data. The device has synchronous load, reset and clock input pins, with a positive edge clock available for each bit. The device offers four output bits which can be used to divide the clock by two, four, eight, or sixteen. The 74HC173D652 is suited for use in high speed signal processing systems, such as video capture and decoding, pulse making, pulse counting, pulse width modulation and frequency division.
