CCC-62 is a coastal stretch of coastal wilderness that spans between the Halifax Peninsula and the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. It encompasses many of the great coastal communities found in Nova Scotia, including Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Peggy’s Cove, Painttown, Indian Harbour and Long Island. With its dramatic coastline, variety of attractions, and abundance of wildlife, CCC-62 is a popular place for sightseers and adventurers alike. The breathtaking beauty of this coastal area is home to a diverse range of shorebirds, whales, seals, and other aquatic mammals. The area also serves as a great place to observe seabirds, including the endangered roseate tern. In addition, CCC-62 is home to a number of historic sites such as the Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, and the Eastern Nova Scotian Railway Museum. There are also a number of Provincial Parks located in the area that provide visitors with access to beautiful views, walking trails, and opportunities to explore the local flora and fauna. Finally, CCC-62 also houses one of Nova Scotia’s most famous culinary attractions, the renowned fish chowder found in Lunenburg.
