The MMA8452QR1 is a 3-axis accelerometer with motion sensing capabilities. It is a QFN-16 RoHS (RoHS-compliant) device manufactured by NXP Semiconductors. It features ultra-low-power consumption and autonomously detects and signals dynamic motion events by employing either activity/inactivity, free fall or motion detection features. The motion sensors detect acceleration in three perpendicular axes (X, Y, and Z) and generates 8-bit signed output data. The output data can be used to detect shake, tap, count, package and motion sensing applications. It is also equipped with a configurable interrupt action with user-selectable interruption levels, built-in voltage regulation and cycle counting, user configurable settings for level threshold and motion detection debouncing. This device is ideal for applications including, Activity/Inactivity Monitoring, Pedometer, Electronic Level and Datalogging.
