The A20-SOM is a System-on-Module (SOM) developed by Olimex. The SOM is based on the Allwinner A20 dual-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor running at 1GHz. It features a Mali 400 dual-core GPU running at 600 MHz, 1GB DDR3 RAM and up to 8GB of NAND Flash storage. It also features many digital I/O and communication peripherals, such as Ethernet, USB, RS232, RS485, CAN bus, HDMI, LCD User Interface, Camera, Audio and others. It can be mounted on a carrier board which provides the user with the interfaces he/she needs (like motor controller, sensors, etc). The SOM can also be used stand-alone in its own housing, making it a self-contained computing solution. It offers a cost-effective and energy-efficient alternative to full-fledged computers.
