The E6C2-CWZ5B-100 2M is a incremental rotary encoder made by Omron Automation. It uses an optical principle of operation and has two outputs A and B which output a two-phase square wave allowing easy pulse count. It has a rotary shaft that can be set for 2 count per revolution (2M) and has a resolution of 0.001°. It has a robust design that is sealed from water and dust and can also withstand heavy shock and vibration conditions. It has a wide operating temperature range from -25°C to 55°C. The E6C2-CWZ5B-100 has a maximum speed of 4500 rpm and is suitable for both speed and position control applications.
